Parksfest Pop Up Sunday 1st August 1-4pm

Some of the lovely Friends team will be in the park this Sunday to share some of the things we couldn’t do on the 25th July.

Come and find out about the art competition, share a park memory, collect a craft pack, join the Friends team or find out more about the fundraising and all our other activities. Do come and say hello and talk to us about ponds, tree planting, playgrounds or anything else about the park.

‘The Friends of Eaglesfield Park will be running a pop-up stall in the park on Sunday 1 August, 1 – 4 pm; Sunday 8 August, 10 am – 1 pm; and Saturday 14 August, 1 – 4 pm. We’ll be asking people visiting the park to share their thoughts, feelings, memories or perhaps a short poem about the park and what it means to them by writing or drawing on coloured paper leaves to hang on our ‘Park for all Times’ branches. The leaves will be used to make bunting for the Eaglesfield Parksfest event on Sunday September 5th 1-4pm. Children’s modelling starter bags will be given to the first 50 children so they can make a model whilst they’re there or over the holidays inspired by the park or playground to bring and show on the 5th September and also have the chance to win one of three art material prizes. We’ll be encouraging everyone coming to the stalls to send us their photographs of the park, art work or writing about the park to be shared on our website www.foepSE18.org with a selection being displayed at the September event. Free lavender bags will be given to everyone signing up to become a member of the Friends Group at the sessions.’

Cancellation

URGENT Notice !!!!!!!!

Due to severe weather warning today (25th September) we have had to make the decision to cancel the Parksfest event.

Please help us spread the word to any groups you are members of?

We are moving everything to our 5th September event – live music, juggling, local arts exhibition, children’s junk modelling competition.

Come and pick up a junk modelling starter pack from the FOEP stall on Sunday August 1st 1-4, Sunday 8th 10-12, Saturday 14th 1-4

Eaglesfield Parks Parkfest 2021

Welcome to

Friends of Eaglesfield – PARKSfest 2021 and Celebration of our new playground equipment.

Unfortunately the event today has been postponed to 5th September 2021.

Do you have a photograph you’ve taken or an old postcard of Eaglesfield?

Get the kids involved – pick up a junk modelling starter pack from the Friends of Eaglesfield stall at the new playground opening celebration on Sunday July 25^th 1 – 4pm.

Bring your creations to show at the Parksfest event in the park on September 5^th 1 – 4pm.

Bring a picnic and stay to enjoy live music – and the new playground in this lovely park at the top of Shooters Hill.

Come and show off your artwork: younger visitors can draw us a favourite feature from the park, design a playground or submit a photo.

You can download and print dice to help you design your own fantasy playground. There is a blank one to add any features you like.

Turn it into a game. Roll a dice and see what you get. Each dice has different designs for you to choose from. Scroll down to download, print off, cut out and you’re ready to roll. Don’t like the designs? You can create your own design. There’s a blank dice for you to draw on your own design.

Step 4: Glue each dice and leave to dry.

Step 5: Now you’re ready to play.
